August BirchBox

I missed out last months box as I was very disappointed with it and didn't think I'd have anything to say.
This months box was a little bit of half and half, not the best but also not the worst.

The first thing I love about this box is the products come in this cute clear little bag rather than the horrible drawstring fabric thing it usually comes in.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Refreshing Bath Shower Gel - £7.15
I hate all the products I've recived from this brand, they smell funny and aren't the quality I expect from BirchBox. Not a fan at all!

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect - £207
I've received a product from this brand before as well which was a hairspray type product that smelled absolutely divine so I was very excited about this one...until I smelled it - let's just say it doesn't smell as good as the other product I received from this brand.  The smell isn't bad by any means and I'm still very excited to try it on those days my hair is tuggy as hell as I didn't condition properly.  I also love the packaging for this brand, I'm a sucker for chic minimalist packaging.

Supergoop! Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream - £32
I'm not really a fan of BB and CC and whatever they bring out next creams and I need/like that extra coverage as I prefer to have flawless skin rather than "au natural" but I think this will be perfect for gym days as I usually use the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and I feel that just isn't enough.  From what I've felt and seen on my hands, I'm quite excited to see the results on my face and they gave me two little samples which is cool!

Vasanti Brightenup! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenation - £26
You can never say no to a new face wash! I love trying new exfoliating products and face washes as it means I never really have to buy a full size of anything as I have loads of samples kicking about.  This one has a pleasant smell and the exfoliating side of it is very fine, like very finely milled sand.

Wild About Beauty Powder Eyeshadow - £13
This is probably my favourite item from the box as I love eye shadows and it's not a crazy colour so I see myself getting use out of it and I'm excited to mess around with it.  This eye shadow range is paraben free and the one I received is in the shade 'Fern 05' which is a neutral gold/brown.  Feels very satin like and doesn't have a crazy amount of shimmer but isn't matte either which I love.

The Proposal By Tasmina Perry - £7.99
The first chapter of The Proposal by Tasmina Perry which looks like something I wouldn't reach for but I'll give it a little read and see how it goes.  Very nice quality for a first chapter of a book and a cute little extra.

Overall this box has been okay, as I said, not amazing but not terrible.  Some interesting products that I'm excited to try and some that will probably get passed on.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
