DiMaggio's & Guardians Of The Galaxy | Date Night #1

I thought it would be a good idea to start a series called Date Night and review a restaurant and movie whenever Luke and I go for dinner and a movie, I might even expand it to other types of dates if I remember.

On Wednesday, Luke and I went to DiMaggio's for dinner then to see Guardians of the Galaxy afterwards and it was a successful night all round.

I've always been a big fan of DiMaggio's but this was only Luke's second time and this time he really enjoyed it.

For starter I had Ying Yang chicken which I get every single time I go and Luke had the Mozzarella Cubes.
For main I had the Copacabana Chicken which I've had a few times now and it's absolutely delicious! Luke had the Veggie Calazone which he loved and I believe he said it was the best calazone he'd ever eaten at one point.
Dessert was a push as we were both very full but we went for it anyway, I got the Apple Pie which wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad, wish I wend for the Cinnamon Waffles cause they are yummy!  Luke couldn't resist the Sticky Toffee Pudding which came in the yummiest toffee sauce ever!

All round, DiMaggio's is where you go if you know you'll get good hearty food.  Good portion sizes and I've only ever had one bad meal that wasn't to my taste in the plenty of times I've been there.

Afterwards, we went to see Guardians of the Galaxy which was a strong 8/10! It was amazing and funny and heart warming at times.  I'm not a massive fan of the Marvel movies as I don't particularly rate superhero movies but this was done differently and pretty darn good.  It was entertaining for kids and for adults as it ha some of those hidden jokes in it that you don't understand as a kid but still had the element of adventure, space and action for kids.  I highly, highly recommend this movie (even if you don't like action/superhero movies).
