December BirchBox

This months box arrived a little late, probably due to the Christmas rush but it's here nonetheless! I hope you enjoy my little review of this months box.

First off - who doesn't love a bright and colourful box with gems on it and a royal blue bottom? The box is probably one of my favourite things about this month as I tend to keep the boxes and store things in them so it's always a plus when they're that pretty!

Ilsci Organics Gel Mask - £39.95
This mask smells funky...like real funky.  I do not like the smell at all but it could be amazing so I'm willing to overlook that if it is.  It's £40 for a full size though so I doubt I'll ever be buying the full size as I don't see myself loving it as I'm more of a clay mask kind of girl.

Electric Hair Electric Hydrate Shampoo - £17.50
I'm not a fan of receiving shampoo's/conditioners in the box as I feel you can't really tell if you'll like it based on a little sample that gives you one or two washes.  I also don't use expensive shampoo so I probably won't be buying the full size of this but it smells nice.

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in the shade 'Smoke' - £8
This lil guy ever so kindly decided it didn't want to keep it's lid on while being shipped so everything was black when I opened the box which was super annoying.  This product is basically just a chubby grey/black/shimmer eyeliner which you can't go wrong with.  Not amazing but not bad either.

Benefit Christmas Cracker High Beam - £19.50
I've been wanting to try this product from Benefit for a while but I can't justify spending that much on a highlighter so I'm glad I got this and it came in the cutest little Christmas cracker which was a nice touch.  Decent sample as well considering what you use it for.

Models Own Nail Polish in the shade 'Amethyst' - £5
I love Models Own nail polishes so this was nice to receive and the colour is a nice glittery purple.

Triology Certified Organic Rosehip Oil - £16.50
Another product I'm not over the moon about trying as I have very oily/breakout prone skin and I'm genuinely terrified to put oils on my face so we'll see how that goes... Smells kind of like garlic but comes in a nice little dropper bottle which is nice.

Sophia Webster Purse - £25
In no way would I pay £25 for this but I suppose I could get some use out of it.  The only thing that really bothers me about things like this is the BirchBox branding on the actual product like why does it have to say Birchbox???

Overall, I'm not blown away by this box.  It could have been more festive with maybe a red lipstick or a glitter liner but meh.  It was okay.  I'm not unimpressed but I'm not over the moon.  Hopefully next months box will be a little better as I've not been over the moon with the last few months boxes.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post!
