The Five Newbies

I've not been buying a lot of beauty products since my birthday as I'm skint but the few things that I have bought and haven't shared yet deserved a little mention, right?

MAC Lipstick in the shade 'Relentlessly Red' - £15.50

I love the retro matte lipsticks from Mac and I've had my eye on this shade for a while now.  It's not exactly red though so I don't know where the name comes from as it's more of a pink/red shade and probably isn't suited for the season but I love it!  This colour is super matte though so if you're not a fan of matte lipsticks or you have chapped lips, Id's stay clear!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - £6.99

I've only tried this on my face once as I bought it a few days ago to test out and have a battle of the Rimmel foundations (which I'm sure you'll see very soon) but so far what I can tell from it is - it's a light/medium coverage, it's thin and if you have a lot of blemishes this would definitely need more coverage with concealer and it's quite wet on the skin so I'd advise setting with a powder.

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - £5.99

Same deal with this foundation about the battle of the foundations but this one I like more as I prefer matte skin.  It has a lot more coverage than the previous and it lasts a lot longer.  It makes your skin feel like silk and I think I'm going to get on well with this.

Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Mascara - £7.14

I ran out of mascara and I needed a new one and I knew I liked this one in the past so I picked it up.  However, it's not as good as I remember it to be, I mean it's not bad but it's just not as good as it used to be - maybe I was layering something else along with it or something, who knows!

Barry M Gelly High Shine Nail Polish in the shade 'Passion Fruit' - £3.99

I love the Gelly High Shine nail varnishes and when I seen this colour I absolutely fell in love.  I know it's not very autumn/winter appropriate but I hate dark colours on my nails as they make my hands look chubby so I always opt for a brighter pop of colour.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I know my blog has been very beauty orientated lately but my sleeping pattern is screwed and beauty is easy when you're not up to anything exciting and there's very little light in the day.  I will try and spice it up on my blog soon but for now I hope this was okay!

Thanks for reading and be sure to check back on Saturday for a new post!
