I'm dedicating a whole post to the MAC Heroine lip liner and the Magenta lip liner as I've been lusting after this combo for a long time and I thought I'd share my thoughts as I had very high expectations.
So this lipstick is in MAC permanent range now and has been for a couple of months and retails for £15.50 and the Magenta lip liner is also in the permanent range and retails at £12.50. I bought both when Debenhams were having £5 off all lipsticks so I got it for £10.50 which is a total steal for a MAC lipstick.
Heroine is a matte formula but feels more like a satin as it never really drys unless you've had it on for hours which I'm not a fan of because I like matte lipsticks that dry quickly. It's a beautiful colour (as you can see with all the selfies I've added in) but can look quite patchy as it is so bright. The major let down with this lipstick is that it goes all clumpy which means you can't just reapply when you need to but instead take it off and start again. Not all Mac matte lipsticks do this but it's not the only one I have that does, which is annoying.
The Magenta lip liner is lovely, it's got a harder than usual formula for a lip liner which means you don't need to sharpen it all the time which is good as it isn't cheap! This is my first Mac lip liner and I definitely think I'll be purchasing more.
Overall I love the lipstick but am a little annoyed about the clumpy situation but this combo works very well together.
