Fast Food Mexican | Pinto, Barburrito and Taco Mazama

My boyfriend and I LOVE Mexican food and recently we've been branching out of Chiquito (arguably our favourite) and I thought I would share my thoughts about some of the fast food Mexican style chains out there!
I've asked Luke his thoughts too so I'll be adding that in throughout.

I'll start off with the one we visit the most which is Pinto in glasgow, there are three but we always go to the one on Hope St. as it's the biggest and they do quesadilla's.  Luke and I have been here way too many times within a short period of time and we both agree is the best in Glasgow that we've discovered.  Things that are good from Pinto: chicken quesadilla's, nacho's with the cheese sauce and the veggie burrito (although there is not even distribution of guacamole and this is why it isn't Luke's favourite).  Things that are bad from Pinto: nachos with grated cheese, the veggie quesadilla's as they are so messy and the pulled pork quesadilla's.  They also have meal deals of quesadillas and a can of juice for £5.50 or a burrito and a can for £7 which is pretty good for how yummy it is!

Overall Ratings of Pinto

Burritos
Luke: 8/10
Jodie: 7.5/10 (i'm not a fan of kidney beans and they use A LOT)

Quesadilla
Luke: 6/10 (tasted yummy but FAR too messy)
Jodie: 8/10

Nachos
Luke: 9/10
Jodie: 9/10
(the nachos with the cheese sauce are amazing!)

Next up is Barburrito which we visited when I was down at Luke's and we went to Liverpool for the day.  We've only been here once together but this is Luke's favourite as he's been here more than I have.
I unfortunately only have one picture from here as it was raining and we'd been shopping all day and all we wanted to do was eat!
I got a burrito from Barburrito so I can't compare the quesadilla's with Pinto but I can compare burritos and Barburrito is by far my favourite as everything is evenly spread out and they don't use a massive amount of kidney beans (Luke agrees).  However, the nachos weren't the best, we only got tortilla chips and salsa to dip so maybe that's why they weren't my favourite but the chips themselves were very nice quality.  Plus free refills on the drinks so you can't really complain!

Overall Ratings of Barburrito

Burittos
Luke: 9/10
Jodie 9/10

Nachos
Luke: 8/10
Jodie 7.5/10

Lastly is Taco Mazama which Luke and I hated.  There is a new store open in Glasgow central station and it's honestly not worth the money.  I ordered the chicken quesadillas which was one baby wrap cut into 4 (baby portion, not worth the money) which was alright but for the size of the portion and how they made it, I'm not sold.  Usually with a quesadilla they put the salsa inside so it's warm with the quesadilla but they gave me it in a little pot so it was cold when I was dipping my quesadilla into it and meh, nah.  Luke got a burrito and he said it was average (no even spreading of fillings).  The worst thing about Taco Mazama is the nachos, the cheese sauce was nasty, would never buy again.

Overall Rating of Taco Mazama

Burrito
Luke: 7.5/10

Quesadilla
Jodie: 7.5/10

Nachos
Luke: 6/10
Jodie: 5/10
